Employment / Volunteer Opportunities
Employment at OTEA:
On The Edge Adventures employs people who have a heart for; Jesus Christ, making a positive impact on people & building leaders, and love to be in the out-of-doors. There are two ways you can be employed with OTEA:
Summer Staff:
Being a summer staff at OTEA can be described as “an exhausting adventure filled with moments of personal challenge and epic service”. If that sentence excited you more than confused you, then you might be right for OTEA! We spend between 30-45 days in training, teaching you how to be a; leader, whitewater raft guide, assistant rock guide, assistant team building facilitator, assistant backcountry guide, assistant caving guide, and assistant canoe guide. Additionally, in order to “make things happen” we teach you everything from packing out trips, to patching boats. Most importantly, we give you training and opportunity to grow and share your faith in a relevant way. Because we spend so much time and money training you, we do ask for a two summer commitment. This job is not your 9-5 job, it’s full throttle from start to finish. But by the end of the summer, you could have an awesome Chaco tan, developed life-long friends, and tallied memories of how you impacted youth for eternity!
If this sounds interesting, please give us a call and ask us more questions. We are not the place for everybody, nor is everybody for us- but we love making new friends and helping people network!
